The extensive work, which includes overhaul, maintenance, and system upgrades, will be conducted in Bremerton, Washington and is expected to be completed by August 2026.
Submarine Systems Integration: $18.8 Million Contract
General Dynamics Mission Systems received an $18.8 million cost-plus-fixed-fee modification contract to develop and integrate software and hardware systems for U.S. Navy submarines. The scope of this contract involves facilities across Virginia, Rhode Island, and California, with a target completion date of June 2026.
Warfighter Communication and Targeting Software : $41.7 Million Order
Another arm of the company, General Dynamics Information Technology, secured a $41.7 million cost-plus-fixed-fee task order for the development and integration of enterprise-level software designed for battlefield communication, targeting, and situational awareness. The work will be executed in Beavercreek, Ohio, and is scheduled for completion by December 2030.
Diverse Funding Sources and Strategic Importance
These contracts will be funded through various U.S. Navy and Air Force allocations, including FY2023 to FY2025 budgets for operations and maintenance, research and development, and shipbuilding and conversion.
